Paul Colmer is a musical storyteller.  I am able to listen to you, understand your needs, interpret your vision, and simply add the 'icing on the cake' to your works of art.  My work gives you a deep feeling of the emotional connection to the story and touch each listener in their own personal interpretation of the work.   
My musical genres include folk, jazz, claasical, dance and electronica and I am truly influenced by some amazing arts around the world:  Elton John, Jerry Goldsmith, James Newton-Howard, John Williams, Sir William Walton and J.S. Bach to name but a few. 

I am not famous, I've never worked on a full-length feature film and I don't work in music full-time.  I have a real passion for my craft, happy clients means everything to me and my prices reflect my growing experience.
Professionalism is at the heart of my ethics as a musician: agreements are simple with no legal jargon, I will agree and complete all my committments and all quotes are fixed price, based on an AUD$ per minute of music created.  This applies to new musical creations and existing works.  You will always have the final say.
There are no licencing, no royalty fee or ongoing fees ever.  If you want 5 minutes of piano accompaniment for a film then prices start from $100.  You have the right to use it for all of your works, please credit  me in the titles.

I encourage my clients to be very open with their vision and goals in any project. If you are worried about the commercials, the marketing or the use of technology in your work, please let me know.  I am happy to go beyond music and provide expertise in these areas, as part of the collaboration.  You are paying for all of my services, not just as a musician.
By day I am a Lead Technology Consultant for CSC (csc.com) and have 15 years of expertise in commercial, marketing and technology areas, in addition to my 15 years as a professional composer, working in the industry.

Over the years I have signed deals with a number of record companies and my music is available in many online stores, including Napster & iTunes.  Harsh lessons have taught me that unless you're the next Robbie Williams, you will almost always lose out with a record label.
